Kimin is a small town located in the Papum Pare district of the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. It is situated on the banks of the Panyor River and is about 75 km from the state capital, Itanagar and 15 away from north Lakhimpur town .
Kimin is surrounded by lush green forests and has a very pleasant climate throughout the year. It is known for its natural beauty and is a popular destination for tourists who come to enjoy the scenic beauty and explore the local culture. The connecting road from Lakhimpur is very beautiful and road surrounded by tea garden.
The town is home to several ethnic groups, including the Nyishi, Galo, and Apatani tribes. The local people are friendly and welcoming, and visitors can experience the unique culture and traditions of these tribes. There is no language spoken here as they speak the dialects which usually don't have any script. Nyishi is the widely spoken dialect here. Apart from that, people speak Hindi, Assamese, English. No other languages are spoken here.
There are several places of interest in and around Kimin, including the Gomsi River, the Gomsi Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary.
Kimin is well-connected by road and can be reached from Itanagar by public and private transport. There is no train station nearby the closest one is at North Lakhimpur and another is Harmuti .The nearest airport is the Lilabari Airport, which is about 24 km away in Assam and another nearest Airport at Gahpur around 45km away.
